We would like to welcome you to the Mayodan Police Department's website. This website is a means to present information about our department.
The Department is currently made up of 14 full time sworn officers and 2 Tele-Communicators. We have three divisions: Administrative, Patrol and Detectives. As we update our website, we will provide information on the officers who serve the Town of Mayodan within the Police Department.
The officers of the Mayodan Police Department are dedicated public servants who work to serve the community in a professional, ethical, and unbiased manner. Our officers constantly strive to improve as we participate in numerous training sessions around the state and within our own training program.
We work closely with all the other Law Enforcement agencies in the county to combat problems that face all of our communities. But we can't do this alone; we need the help of the citizens who depend on us to provide law enforcement services.
It is our goal to continue to reduce crime and apprehend criminals so that citizens and others who pass through our town can feel safe to function without the fear of harassment and violence that so often victimizes citizens in today's society. The only way to ensure this goal is met is for the Police Department to form a partnership with the community. This partnership must include residents, businesses, public service agencies and the faith community in order to be successful. It takes the entire community to combat the problems of the day.
